Dormice Surveys

Dormice are European Protected Species and to develop any land where they are found would require a licence. Ecological Sustainability are able to assess your land for presence of suitable habitat. Where suitable habitat is present in a dormouse area we can carry out the required surveys to determine presence or likely absence. Dormice are most commonly found in woodlands with hazel and brambles, but also occur in other woodland types, dense hedgerows and scrub. As they are nocturnal and spend most of their time in dense vegetation or high in trees they are rarely seen.
