Water Vole Surveys

If your site has ditches, ponds or other waterbodies within it or adjacent to it, it is possible water voles could be present. Water voles are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act (1981) (as amended). Ecological Sustainability can assess your site to see if water voles might be present. If suitable habitat is found we can carry out a full survey for water voles and provide suitable advice on how to mitigate for impact or avoid impact on any populations that might be present. Water vole surveys are restricted to certain times of year, so if water voles might be present, advice should be sought as soon as possible.
